This is a difficult question to answer. Traditionally, the hash on the end of the address would cause Firefox to scroll to that location in the document. However, heavily scripted sites may also use a hash value to adjust the visibility of portions of a page rather than scrolling. So... I can't give you a specific answer about the nonworking site.

However, I'll give you a suggestion: try clearing cache and cookies in case one of those is causing the problem. I don't know of a way to clear just one site's cookies on Android, so you may need to clear them all. See: Clear your browsing history and other personal data on Firefox for Android (you can uncheck categories you do not want or need to clear).

Any difference?

Thank you jscher2000,

I tried clearing cache before I discovered that Private Browsing enabled the pages to load. The hash value is a visibility/functionality control result in this app, apparently.

If Private Browsing didn't slow the app so much I wouldn't care. I hoped there was a setting in open browsing that would enable the pages to load hopefully without the loss of speed. I didn't find one.
