Sync doesn't save two different sets of data in one Sync account. Data from each device gets merged on the Sync server, and sends the data that differs to each device.

About the only difference in "data" you might see is with the Bookmarks Toolbar when Firefox for iOS or Android is connected to that Sync account. Plus, all bookmarks on "desktop" won't get synced to a "mobile" device; similar for browsing history, which restricted to recent history going to "mobile".

And when a Master Password is used on one device and not on another device connected to that Sync account.
