Hello,

The Reader View is excellent but I'm wondering if there are any plans to add keyboard navigation to the feature.

What I mean is a set of keystrokes that would add navigation such as

  • next phrase
  • previous phrase
  • next H1
  • previous H1

and so on.

Best regards,

Colm

You can look at this extension:

I've tried the Reader extension to which you link.

Firstly, I see no indication that it allows for navigation within a webpage, e.g. at a phrase of header level. This puts it on a par thus with native Reader View apart from the ability to play with colours and font-sizes.

Secondly, after installation the extension does not do anything when I click on the button that is installed. Webpages that are perfectly handled by Reader View, e.g. any wikipedia pages, do not return any reaction from clicking on the button for the Reader extension.

Best regards,

Colm

You can report the issue at Bugzilla:

They don't have any specifics for enhancement requests, but if you select product: Firefox and component: disability access, someone might incorporate your suggestion into future versions.
