Firefox will not let me sign in on a router that does not use a user ID but does use a password and this needs to be fixed/I will have change my default router
I have a Linksys router on my network with the address 192.168.1.5. This router does not use a user id for sign but does use a password. Other browsers will let me sign in with a blank user id and my password. Firefox will not. This true for both my Windows 10 machine and my Mac Book Pro. Please fix this!!

Has the correct password been entered? There is no reason for this. All the browser does is send information out and display what comes back.
Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.
A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Is the problem still there?

I have made screenshots for Firefox, Google Chrome, and MS Edge all using the same password They are in order as follows: screen with password entered but not submitted and then results of submission.
You can try a Form Filling add-on.
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what you want.
