Whenever I sign into Netflix, as soon as the home page comes up, Firefox slows and I get an unresponsive script error with this link: https://codex.nflxext.com/%5E2…bootstrap.js,akira%7Ccommon.js:13.

If I stop the script, I can't watch any movies. Other websites stream fine, and Netflix works on my andriod, so I know it's not a problem with them. I'm using Windows 10, just updated to the latest version of Firefox, and have cleared all cookies and caches. There are no other codes. Using Safe Mode doesn't help.

I've searched around for hours and can't find any fixes. Thanks for anyone's help!

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

  • Clear the Cache and
  • Remove Cookies

Warning ! ! This will log you out of sites you're logged in to. You may also lose any settings for that website.

Type about:preferences<enter> in the address bar.

  • Cookies; Select Privacy. Under History, select

Firefox will Use Custom Settings. Press the button on the right side called Show Cookies. Use the search bar to look for the site. Note; There may be more than one entry. Remove All of them.

  • Cache; Select Advanced > Network. Across from

Cached Web Content, Press Clear Now.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). While you are in safe mode;

Type about:preferences#advanced<enter> in the address bar.

Under Advanced, Select General. Look for and turn off Use Hardware Acceleration.

Then restart. Poke around safe websites. Are there any problems?

I'd tried that already - it still didn't work. Even in safe mode, I turned of Hardware Acceleration, restarted in safe mode and then just normally. Nothing worked.

Remove History For One Site

Open the History Manager <Control><Shift> H. In the search bar, enter the name of the site. Right-click on one of the listings and select Forget About This Site. This should remove all information, including any passwords / settings.

I have Firefox set to delete my history upon exiting. I tried that just now, but nothing came up when I typed Netflix into the search bar.
