I don't remeber passwords used and can no longer get into my main email because it is requesting my password. how do I remedy
Enter your password for sdmilling7@hotmail.com on pop3.live.com > occurs when I hit get new messages in my thunderbird account.(sdmilling7@hotmail.com) have not input a password for a long time and dont remember it. It does not give the option"forgot my password " how do I remedy?

Email passwords are administered with your email provider. That is the only place to recover forgotten passwords.
That being said, many other things can cause the password error. To see what you told Thunderbird to remember go to... Options-Security-Passwords-Saved Passwords Click Show Passwords
Note the password for that account. Go to your providers Webmail page and see if it works there. If it works there then you need to ask your provider what settings to use when checking mail with a 3rd party client like Thunderbird. Hotmail has been a little flaky when using POP recently.
