How can I list FIRST NAME and LAST NAME in the TBird Address Book ?
I am missing the ability to list my contacts by First Name and Last Name with email addresses in the TBird Address Book. It's always listed that way up until my computer was reset. Now the way my names are displayed are all messed up, I can only see the Display names under the column marked NAME along with the email addresses. When I click on a contact, it only shows the Display name. When I imported an address book, it only imported the email and Display names.
What am I missing here? How can I fix it?

I suspect you imported your addresses improperly. Why/how was your computer "reset"?
Do you use CCleaner? This removes settings files, and a recent version actually removed irreplaceable user data from the profile.
Thanks for your response. DELL had to reset the computer due to a bad LCD screen and some malicious virus on the computer. They also tried to import email addresses and got the same result as I did.
I don't have CCleaner and never heard of it.
All my email addresses were gone from Tbird when I reinstalled it and I noticed in the Address Book there is only a column for Name, not First Name, Last Name. When I save an email address from an email, it's defaulted in the PAB and collected Addresses, but it's not displayed correctly. Only the Display name shows and it's only part of the email address. The email address is displayed as well but not under the email column.
When I tried to import , I clicked Import from the Address Book itself and grabbed the file from my Excel CSV folder. It too displays as i explained above.
So now I'm ready for the next step. Thank you for working with me Nancy
The Switching to Thunderbird article mentions that during the contacts import, you should be able to rearrange some fields, since the export format may not match the one for Thunderbird. That usually occurs with CSV files exported from other clients, but it seems you exported it from Thunderbird previously, or ...? Nevertheless, did you see such options?

In the Import Address Book window that appears, use the Move Up and Move Down buttons to match the address book fields on the left to the correct data for import on the right, and uncheck items you do not want to import.
If the fields match the proper format, you should be able to list/view them using View > Show name as, as suggested, which is valid for the Name column.
Displaying separate columns for First name and Last name in the Address book is not possible by default but serves no real purpose (it would take up an additional column while you can choose the display name for one column anyway), though it’s been a 13 year old "feature request" since bug 247335. If you are sure they were there previously, perhaps you used an add-on for it in your old setup?
