So it's not letting you log into your sync account or it's not syncing with your computer? Are you syncing between two computers or a computer and a mobile device?

If it's with a mobile device try this:

I understand that Firefox Sync did not connect to your mobile device on this occasion, but hopefully I should be able to help you force a Sync event to take place.

Assuming you have connected the same Sync account on both your mobile and desktop copies of Firefox:

In Firefox on your mobile device:

  1. Go into the Settings menu and select Firefox Sync
  2. Tap on Synchronise now

This will “force” a synchronisation of the data that is on the local device storage.

I am trying to sync between two computers. In the new computer, Firefox Sync does not sync. When I force sync, I see the error-log file in about:sync-log

Trying to resolve the issue, I disconnected my account from the new computer, created a new account in Firefox Sync and sync works. It automatically syncs( sync icon rotates) and when I do force sync, there is no error log generated. This issue seems to be with particular account id only.

In case of issues with Sync you can try this: Disconnect from Sync and Reconnect to Sync again. You can disconnect from Sync by clicking the e-mail address in the "3-bar" Firefox menu button drop-down list or go to "Options/Preferences > Sync". Delete the signedInUser.json file in the Firefox profile folder and delete the Weave folder (Sync was formerly named Weave). Remove an existing chrome://FirefoxAccounts entry in the Firefox Password Manager. If that isn't enough then delete the prefs.js files to reset all prefs and maybe also delete the compatibility.ini file to reinitialize the profile.

You can use the button on the "Help -> Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page.
