I would like to sync a single profile on one computer with only a single profile on another
I have multiple firefox profiles on my two computers. So I would like to sync profile x on my first computer with profile x on my second computer, Profile y on my first computer with profile y on my second computer...and so on. Can this be done?

Yes, that is how Sync works. It synchronizes one Firefox Profile with another Firefox Profile; either on separate devices or on the same device where you have multiple Profiles that you want to have the same user data. Handy for users who test pre-release versions of Firefox along with using the Release version.
You would need separate Sync account each with their own email address to be able to sync an individual profile independent of the other profile.
