How can I create a blacklist and whitelist?

I receive an email every few days from a company from which I purchase occasionally. Every time, a warning flashes up that this could be a scam and do I really want to visit this website. Is there any way in which I can arrange to allow emails from this sender without question? Also, I have lately had a run of scams (offering viagra, fake degrees, etc.). Is it possible to blacklist, for example, emails with "viagra" in the subject line, which may reduce this nuisance a bit?

Your address book is your whitelist. If you want to blacklist particular senders then you'll need to build a filter. Blacklists for spammers are generally not very effective or efficient, since spammers do not re-use the same addresses.

As Matt says, the scam detection is either on or off; sadly there is no way to train it.

Your options are to turn scam detection on or off. Nothing else.

Thanks, Matt, but I unless I've misunderstood your reply I don't think that's going to make any difference. I'm sure with my previous email provider I was able to make a list of key words and could then block incoming emails which included these in the subject line, and also I could make a list of senders whose emails were always to be allowed through. It looks as though I'll just have to continue with the way things are -- annoying, but I suppose I can live with it!

Thanks, Zenos. I must admit I hadn't thought of my address book as a whitelist. Perhaps if I add the company's address to my personal address book that will do the trick. I'll try it.
