when i click on a link that leads to a pdf file firefox wants to download this file, how can i set it to open the file instead of downloading it

Hi
If you type about:preferences into the address bar, and scroll down the Applications section in the General tab, you should be able to change the action for Portable Document Format from "Download" to "Preview".
