Using "Fonts and Colors" "Color" to set visited links color to override colors specified on the page cannot be done without also overriding text and background colors, which makes many parts of a web page disappear. Choosing "Never" brings them back, but then most or all visited links don't change color from uninvited color. It would be great to have separate settings for links and for text+background so you could change link colors without changing text and background from web specified colors. Firefox 51.0.1 32 bit.

"uninvited" should read "unvisited"......spellcheck has a mind of it's own!

Note that sites HTML/CSS/Scripts can override your changes. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/change-fonts-and-colors-websites-use#w_change-font-color

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Yes, this is the root of the problem...sites can control the appearance but the site builders mostly have forgotten or just not bothered to make links change color when visited, and to correct that you must override specified link colors "Always," but to do that you must ALSO override Text and Background Colors "Always" since both settings are in the same place, and that makes search boxes, colored headings, and other large parts of the web page disappear.

You can possibly use CSS rules in userContent.css to override the visited link color.

Thanks, but that's a little beyond me, plus I have firefox not chrome on my laptop.
