I've been researching what I need to do to migrate from Windows to Linux. For export/import from MS Office Outlook 2010 to Thunderbird, I see everywhere "If you want to export Outlook emails to Thunderbird, you need a compatible version of Outlook on your PC with Thunderbird". I cannot find any Outlook/Thunderbird compatibility matrix, can someone point me in the right direction?

I don't think the version of Outlook is important, but it does matter which version of TB is installed on the same computer on which Outlook is installed. Older versions of TB, e.g. TB 17, or newer beta versions such as TB 58 are worth trying (see this post).

Once you have the Outlook data imported to TB on the Windows computer, copy the Thunderbird folder to the Linux computer:

Thanks, will give it a go and report back!
