I can not log into or access one of my 3 gmail accounts - started this morning.
I use Thunderbird (52.6) to check 3 Gmail accounts daily. This morning, I started receiving a message that an email I tried to send out of account #3 would not go out. Account not set up properly. I did not do anything on my end to change anything. It kept asking me to retry or put in a new password. Will not take the correct passowr. Gmail on the web works fine, but to be on the safe side, I changed the password on the #3 account. Rebooted computer after trying different things a couple of times. Still doesn't let me in. Removed account #3 from Thunderbird, rebooted again, added account #3 back in. Same message. I've checked all the settings and can't find any problem. Using Normal password, ports seem to be right and match the other accounts. Updated to the latest version. Could use some help. This my personal and preferred account, of course. Thank you.

Sorry I didn't find the font lines until after I posted.
I notice you are using 'POP' mail accounts.
It is possible this is gmail being a pain. When a 'less secure app' is used, they may try to get you logon to webmail to reset a password as it gets you to use their webmail. Note 'less secure app' does not mean it is less secure, but it means you are neither using webmail nor imap and OAuth2.
They may need you to use a captcha to unlock and prove it really is you. at this link under the 2step drop down section https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6009563 It mentions unlocking a Captcha: On your device’s browser, go to: https://accounts.google.com/DisplayUnlockCaptcha
Logon to gmail webmail using a browser. Make sure you have selected the option to use 'Less secure apps'.
If you update/ modify a password in gmail webmail then update the password in Thunderbird. Access this and completely remove old password and then enter the new one again.
- 'Menu icon' > 'Options' > 'Options' > 'Security' > 'Passwords' tab
- click on 'Saved Passwords' button
- click on 'Show Paswords' button
You will have two lines for that account.
- mailbox:// mail account
- smtp://mail account
- right click on each line in turn and select 'Edit Password'
- completely remove old and type new one
- click on 'Close'
- click on 'OK'
Exit and restart Thunderbird.
