Hi there all, quick question. As per first screenshot, on firefox for windows we can obviously click on a hyperlink, in this case to word documents, and once we have selected the default program we only need to click once in future to open it. On firefox for android, as per second screenshot, we need to click and hold a link in order to open it? Plus we cannot choose the default app? Is this true? Can we change to one click and default app selected? Thankies.

Hi

Once you have chosen an app to open link that should remain the default. In your second screenshot, select the Open with an App option and it should give you the option to select a default app to use.

Thanks seburo. As you can see from my 2nd screenshot I am not given the choice of selecting a default app. Also still hoping to find out if click and hold is necessary.

Thanks again Seburo, I need to make a correction after further testing. The default app is actually selected. The issue is I don't want to click and hold to reveal a menu as per screen shot two. What I am looking for is a way to single click on the link in order to immediately open the file without having to click again. Does anyone know if there is a way to do this in Firefox for Android?
