I'd like to know how to set up Thunderbird to archive emails on my hard drive without leaving copies on the server.
I'm working on a Windows 8 machine (I know) and I'd like to create an Archives folder on my laptop that doesn't mirror to the server. I've just changed the settings in the Tools > Account Settings > Copies and Folders > Message Archives to "Local Folders," but deletions from the "Archive" folder are still mirrored on the application.
I'd also like to avoid deleting messages on the server to find that I've also deleted them on my computer. What's the best way to handle this?
