How do I turn off Firefox automatically signing me in to Gmail - past answers refer to "options" under "tool" tab - no such slection exits under that Firefoxtab

Using Macbook Pro, Firefox browser - searched internet - it refers me to "Tools" tab on Firefox page, then to "Options" under there - but my Firefox does not "Option" listed under "Tools." Hoe do I turn that auto sign in off????????

Hi Goldie78, it's Options on Windows, and Preferences on Mac and Linux.

Are you looking for a way to:

  • Delete a saved login
  • Clear cookies for a site
  • Something else

Clear Saved Logins

You can do that here:

  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
  • Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the left column, click "Privacy & Security".

Then on the right side, in the "Logins & Passwords" section, click the "Saved Logins" button. Then remove your Google account if it's saved there.

Clear a Site's Cookies

You can do that here:

  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
  • Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the left column, click "Privacy & Security".

Then on the right side, in the "Cookies and Site Data" section, click the "Manage Data" button. You can remove cookies and other data stored on your Firefox by Google here.
