No longer have Google Maps as a search option
Google Maps was a valid search engine choice, but after updating and having to reinstall Firefox because it was freezing with some programs that used to work fine, now it is not an option. I can download Google Maps Quick Search as an add on, but it will not allow being listed in my search box as an option. How can I get it back in as an option. I am using Windows 10 on an ACER E5-575-33BM.

Before, when I clicked on "add to search engines, Google maps was one of the choices. It is no longer.
What site were you on when you tried to add it? Maybe try the "Page Actions" menu button (•••), although the classic Search Bar should have the identical feature:
The site you sent me is where I downloaded Google Maps Quick Search, but that requires more key strokes to get to and then add in the location desired separately.
Yes, same site, but I customized the search link so you would only see "Search Tools" which are plugins for the Search Bar.

I tried limiting the Add-on site search results to "Search Tools" and came up with this:
https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/search/?q=google%20maps&type=search
Maybe one of those is what you had before?
Thank you for taking time to answer. However, it does not solve the problem. Before, when I clicked on "add to search engines, Google maps was one of the choices. It is no longer. I can't imagine why it was removed since it is used so often by so many. The site you sent me is where I downloaded Google Maps Quick Search, but that requires more key strokes to get to and then add in the location desired separately.

Thank you so much. I did not realize the Google search that was on the top of the page was different from the one I installed. It worked perfectly, and you have now shown me how to more effectively find and add extensions or plug ins. Have a great day. You have just made mine.
