There is a helpful page, "Thunderbird versions and languages" https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/thunderbird/install-migrate-and-update/thunderbird-versions-and-languages. It has entries like "New in Thunderbird 38.0", …, "New in Thunderbird 52.0", and finally, "New in Thunderbird 60".

This page has no link to "New in Thunderbird 68.0" https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/new-thunderbird-68, which has apparently been released since August 2019, over three months ago.

I came to the "Thunderbird versions and languages" just now, to find out what the latest version of Thunderbird is. I expected this page would tell me. It did not tell me about Thunderbird 68.

Could someone please edit this page to add a link to "New in Thunderbird 68.0" https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/new-thunderbird-68?

Thank you!

That pages parent has the article. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/thunderbird/install-migrate-and-update

However as you asked I have added it to the next level down as well.

Thank you for adding the link to the page, "Thunderbird versions and languages", as requested.

I must have looked at the parent page, "Install, Migrate and Update" https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/products/thunderbird/install-migrate-and-update , but I couldn't make sense of it. It is a jumble of links to other pages, feature descriptions of Thunderbird versions, and listings of major Thunderbird versions not in any consistent order. I found it hard to understand what that page was trying to tell me. I did not see that it was telling me how to "Install, Migrate, and Update". I guess that is the topic for a different ticket.

for better or worse, the structure of the knowledge base is hierarchical and when articles are created there is a tick box arrangement to place it where it needs to go.

So you specify products Thunderbird, sub category in this case instal-migrate and update and then a category in that. Your chosen page of Thunderbird versions and languages is a sub category of the parent.

Usually folks just work their way down to the level of detail they think is appropriate when creating the document.

When someone goes to support and "asks their question" the category they are in is searched for results and they rarely actually see the full list.

The biggest issue with that is the search does not make sub categories obvious so folks tend to get flooded with masses of stuff from Higher levels, or nothing at all because that level was not checked in the document. So within the limitations of the software we are using you get off stuff.

However, help is always appreciated and having someone that just checked the appropriate boxes when they noticed it would be a great help. It is the little things that tend to fall through the cracks.

Thank you for the explanation. I think I don't have access to see these tick boxes you speak of. Thus there is a lot I don't understand about why the "Install, Migrate and Update" page doesn't give me a useful explanation. However, the system certainly didn't give me the clear answer for which I was looking.
