I request password resets to different accounts and the email never reaches my MSN email. I get some password resets but the majority never reach me. What is causing this and how do i fix it?

Thank you, Sandra Cockrell

If you are not receiving password

reset emails from "various sites",

you need to check your spam label. If you do not see the email in your inbox nor your spam label, then the email hasn't reached your account. You would need

to contact the company/website that

is attempting to send you the reset email.

I have done that to several sites that sent password resets and they say they have no other way to send the password reset, so i never receive the link i need. Something is blocking it but i cannot figure out what is causing this.

Apparently the email providers currently encounter problems sending the requests. Happens a lot to me, not only for password resetting, but even login verification codes (sent by email OR text messages). My best guess is that there's nothing you can do here except to wait until it gets fixed on the providers' side. Shouldn't be related to a web-browser either.

If that is why you posted here Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail" such as Yahoo!Mail or Gmail. You should seek support from your "web mail" service provider or a forum for that service.

If your problem is with Thunderbird, let us know and we can move this thread to the Thunderbird support queue.
