Does Firefox auto-update feature installs the latest version (73.x) even if the current installed version is way older (let's say version 50.x)?

I'm currently managing our company's desktop estate and I noticed many of our machines have old installation of Firefox. I'm just wondering if the auto update feature of those 'legacy' Firefoxes will install the latest version (v73.x)

hi, yes they should auto-update if the system requirements are still met (aka no xp/vista).

Note that you may have to update more than once to get the current release if you have a very old Firefox version. Some (watershed) versions have specific migration code that ensure that files in the profile folder are updated to a new scheme (format).
