How do I change my account from OWA (with OWL add-on) to normal IMAP? Do I have to set up a new account or can I change the settings of my current account?

I was using my Thunderbird with Owl add-on to access my email at Office 365 server. I do not have that service anymore and have changed to IMAP server. I would like to continue using Thunderbird and all the email and folders and my home computer as until now.

In Thunderbird "server settings" the type of server is fixed as "owl".

Is there a way just to continue with the same local account allthough the remote server is changed? To continue so that the user doesn't really even notice that the server has changed. Or do I have to set up a new account in Thunderbird? This would mean that if I look for an old email, I would have to look in two places.

Thunderbird, OWA, OWL, IMAP, server settings.

It does seem that there is now way of doing this. Once the account is established it is fixed to the type it is. Therefore the only option is to open a new account. This does leave the annoying situation that in the Thunderbird view there are visible two accounts - the old and the new.
