I'm pretty frustrated. This issue has been happening for at least two months.

My phone:

- shows up on "Devices & apps" on both desktop + phone - shows up on desktop "Send tab to device"

- last time sync appeared, it said "Last synced 2020-02-28". I press the sync button; it swirls for one second and then stops, and then continues to say 2020-02-28. I disconnected my phone from synced devices, and then reconnected. Now it doesn't say 2020-02-28, it doesn't say anything. I press the sync swirl, it swirls for one second and then stops, and doesn't actually sync with desktop.

> My phone does NOT show up under "Synced tabs" on desktop; it just says "Connect another device"

- yet I can send a tab from my desktop to my phone.

Help?!

Try disconnecting it then reconnecting it to sync by going to the menu -> username -> disconnect sync

That was the first thing I did. I've done this multiple times.
