被選擇的解決方法

2FA through mobile numbers is now strongly discouraged because of the security issues it presents. 2FA apps are the new standard. Many websites still support 2FA over the phone still for legacy purposes.

It's not likely that it will be added to the Firefox Accounts system.

Currently, the Firefox Account system does not support two-factor authentication through phone numbers.

It's unlikely that this feature will ever be added to the system because of the various security issues associated with 2FA through SMS.

In what way is an authenticator app not working ?

An authenticator app needs internet connection to ensure that the time is correct within a few seconds (a response is only valid for thirty seconds).

Note that there as also authenticator extensions.

Hi Team, If MFA code can't be sent to mobile number, then can this be sent to registered email id ?

I don't know why firefox mfa is not possible through mobile number, whereas google, microsoft, facebook, twitter like many other companies and lots of banks are supporting and using it to send a authentication code on mobile numbers or email address.

Can this be implemented for firefox as well ?

Thanks!

Hello Team, I'm using Google authenticator, scanned the QR code and added a profile. But firefox is not accepting the code which was generated by the app.. it says Invalid two-step authentication code. I tried to remove and added the recovery code couple of times but this doesn't work.

Please help.
