Why is firefox quantum 77.0.1 incompatible with statefarm.com ?
I just discovered today, 7-2-20, that the latest version of firefox is not compatible with the latest version of the statefarm.com website, while chrome and opera work fine with the website. Apparently, statefarm.com has recently done some upgrades that make it incompatible with firefox. The mozilla developers need to get with statefarm.com to see what the compatibility problems are so that the situation can be resolved. My guess at this point is perhaps adobe flash player related, but that's just a guess. Until this is resolved, I will use opera to access the statefarm.com website.

Hi rbhall52, could you describe in a little more detail the sections/features of the site that are not working the way they did before?
You can report site compatibility problems on the following: https://webcompat.com/
Note: there is a link filter on new replies, so you could leave off the .com when you refer to the site.
The Web Console shows in Firefox 78 some messages about "Cross-Origin Request Blocked" that I do not see in Firefox 77.
- "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Web Developer
- https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/Tools/Web_Console
Firefox shows a purple shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar in case Tracking Protection is blocking content.
You can click shield icon for more detail and possibly disable the protection.
You can check the Web Console for possible messages about blocked content.
As it turns out, the mobile Firefox browser works just fine with statefarm.com . I will go to the compatibility website and mention statefarm.com. Thanks.
Also, thanks for the Web console info.
The site is supposed to confirm my identity so I can log in, but that's where the biggest problem occurs. I just get a page with raw html code showing, but no error message of any kind. So I don't get any farther than that, but the site is not consistent, because I once got to the identity confirmation page and then the error happened.
I've already told state farm about the problem.
Boot the computer in Windows Safe mode with network support to see if that has effect in case security software is causing problems.
