This piece of **** novelty lost all my saved logins after syncing. I synced as usual, unaware of this Lockwise nonsense you recently added to Firefox unnecessarily, and expecting just the open tabs from my device to sync. Well I found all my logins on someone else's computer that I was using at the time to browse the net. Wtf? So I removed the logins from Lockwise (one by one, btw, because there's no option to just remove them all at once, facepalm). Later on I find I can't find them anywhere anymore, on any of my own devices. Why the **** would passwords and login information be synced by default, and what was wrong with the old password manager?! I'm now switching over to Chrome, which I hate. But not as much as this piece of ****.

It sounds like you had signed into Firefox Sync on that other computer. Then, when you removed the passwords from that computer (while still signed into Firefox Sync), it mirrored that change on all of the other devices that you have connected to Firefox Sync.

This is how Firefox Sync is supposed to work. It's primary purpose is to sync the changes you make on one device onto all of your other devices.

Firefox Sync does provide the option to stop syncing Logins and Passwords. That's found in the Sync section of the Firefox Settings page. If that is disabled, then your Logins and Passwords won't sync between devices.

This issue has nothing to do with the Firefox Lockwise interface. In fact, that changes very little with how Logins and Passwords are handled.

So, firstly, I signed out of the account on that computer, and the login information was still in the browser! Wtf, seriously?! And again, why is login info checked by default? Anyway, I found another device with all the old logins, thank heavens, and it's an Android phone. Now, how the hell do I sync it so that the logins go to my computer browser and all other devices, and not the other way around - getting deleted on the Android phone because all the other devices don't have them? It's confusing, where do I sync, from the computer or the phone?! And there's no option to export on the phone browser. This Lockwise feature is simply atrocious imo.

But what mirrors what?! If I click sync on a device that has the passwords now, will they get deleted because they don't exist on other devices, or will those devices get the passwords?! Jesus what a shitshow of a feature.
