POP3 Suddenly Failing for Hotmail

As of several hours ago, emails from my Hotmail account aren't showing (or maybe they're not being downloaded?) in Thunderbird.

Things I've tried... • Restarting Thunderbird multiple times • Using outlook.office365.com, pop3.live.com, and other things as the Server Name. • Getting messages manually

When I click "Get Messages", it seems to indicate that 11 new emails were downloaded (it's hard to read because the messaging at the bottom tool bar flashes by so quickly). But nothing new gets displayed. Additionally, the emails in my Hotmail account online are not being moved to the POP folder.

This is new behavior as of earlier today on Aug. 27, 2020. Previously everything has been fine (and unchanged) for several years.

Please help!

That worked! All I did was got to Hotmail directly and deleted a few emails from the Hotmail inbox. After just a few, magic happened and they're all in Thunderbird now.

Thanks!
