browser using facebook

On late Monday this week, my Facebook pages were drastically altered by Facebook, later in the day. Earlier that day and ever since I have used Firefox as my browser, there were never any problems. I received a notice from Facebook, after I signed in again later in the evening that Facebook, that my browser is no longer supported by Facebook, so my pages were changed , "to offer a better experience " when using Facebook.. The pages are now narrowed, that I cannot read the entire comments anymore. I know that Firefox is indeed is a browser that is accepted by Facebook, so this is puzzling why this change was suddenly made. I have the browser updated with the latest update. I cleared my cache, as Facebook mentioned in the FAQ's, but it still is the same. Is there something I can do on my end to resolve this issue on my end? Facebook does not offer any help for specific questions, other than FAQ's. Thank you.

For a while now, Facebook has been working on a new design. It was previously opt-in only, but it was recently forced onto all Facebook users. That's the new design that you are seeing.

It's not related to Firefox, it's a change that Facebook has made. See Facebook's redesigned look for desktops is coming before spring 2020 for more information.

There's been some mixed reviews of the new design (personally, I hate it too). However, Facebook is currently only allowing people to rollback to the old design for brief periods if there are features that are not fully working on the new design. There's no way to permanently keep the old design.
