Hello - Recently, I deleted thousands of old e-mail messages from my gmail server. When I launched Thunderbird, the Compact Folders dialog box popped up asking if I want do have the deleted messages purged from the disk. I am afraid of deleting old messages that I already downloaded to Thunderbird. I just wanted them deleted from the server. When I read messages that arrive in my Thunderbird inbox, I archive the ones that I want saved to a folder in 'Local Folders'. Any other emails I receive are sent to trash. Sent e-mails are stored in my 'sent' folder and have not been moved to the Local Folders. Please let me know what I will be 'deleting' if I agree to this option.
