Hello, just to put this info on record, I will continue with Thunderbird 68 for these 2 reasons:

1. The one extension without which e-mail would be completely unusable for me, ArchiveThis!, has not yet been ported, and it seems to be a tough job. (The extension allows to sort mails into folders by keystrokes and autocomplete, without lengthy mousing around and RSI-inducing drag&drop.)

2. I didn't find a way to efficiently compose e-mails, i.e. without using the mouse. Before, one could tab through the recipient type and address fields and change To: / Cc: with keystrokes, and autocompletion for the names.

Nevertheless, thanks for the continued work on a great e-mail program!

Cheers!

Here are a couple of add-ons for navigating or filing through keystrokes:

https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/quick-folder-move/

https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-us/thunderbird/addon/nostalgy_ng/

Nostalgy has the option to show the Cc and Bcc boxes by default, making them easier to access through Tab.

Thanks. Yes, this is an area that will continue to evolve and improve.
