Hello,

i dont know why, but suddently when i try typing in the youtube searchbar the hotkeys will trigger. For example when i try to press spacebar, nothing will type at all when i'm on the home page. If i'm on one video and try typing in the searchbar, the video will stop, even if i did not yet click on the video. I can only temporarily "fix" this issue by using the tab key and try to navigate to the searchbar. But after i've changed to another page on youtube, this issue will persist until i fix it only by this method. Funnily enough, it appears the be an issue on youtube and only on firefox. Every other site works as intended and the youtube searchbar works as intended on other browsers. I'm at a complete loss.

Looks like a YouTube bug where JavaScript always interprets a space bar press as play/pause and doesn't disable this action when an input field has focus.

A possible workaround for now is to place this character on the clipboard (i.e. type a space and select it and copy the space to the clipboard) and paste the clipboard content when you need to enter this character. You can possibly use the location bar to get this character on the clipboard.
