How to restore tabs?

How do I restore my browser tabs after updating Firefox? I'm usually able to restore tabs by clicking on the menu button and selecting "Restore Previous Session", but that doesn't seem to work anymore. Is there an alternate way to restore previous session?

Hi

Are you keeping other personal data or is there a new profile created each time you start Firefox ?

Make sure you install Firefox properly and that you do not run Firefox from within the DMG (Disk Image) file.

Open the Firefox Disk Image file and drag the Firefox application to the Applications folder on your hard drive. You shouldn't double-click the Firefox application to run it from the Disk Image, but instead drag it out of the DMG folder.

Note that on Mac closing Firefox can be more complicated because you can close all open windows, but keep Firefox running with the menu bar visible or minimized in the Doc.

Make sure you Quit Firefox with all windows still open. Otherwise you can check "History -> Restore Previous Session" and "History -> Recently Closed Tabs/Windows".

Hi,

Thank you for your reply.

I don't know if I am keeping other personal data. What do you mean by personal data?

No, I am not creating a new profile each time I start Firefox.

I am not installing Firefox. Firefox is already installed on my computer.

I always quit Firefox with all windows still open. "Menu -> Restore Previous Session" is greyed out and I'm not able to choose that option. I don't see "History -> Recently Closed Tabs/Windows".

Primarily history. If Firefox has stopped saving history from one session of Firefox to the next, that could point toward a configuration problem.
