Browser search box not adding Ebay
Is there a way to add ebay in the search box? Normally you go to a site that is searchable (like Amazon or Twitter) and there is a green + symbol that appears in the top right browser search box in Firefox and you click on that to add it to the search box drop down list. But for whatever reason eBay does not have a green + symbol appear when you go to it. Can it be added or has it been restricted by Ebay rather than Firefox? I'm pretty sure it used to be there.
Windows 10 desktop Firefox version 89

When you say "you didn't find one like that" do you mean you didn't find one for Ebay?I did not find a page on eBay that offers an installable search engine plugin.
When you say "some builds on firefox include an ebay search engine" what does that mean?Well, for example, I have it in the U.S. English version of Firefox 89, but I don't think all languages/locales have it. Do you think you might have removed it accidentally? If so, you should be able to use the "Restore Default Search Engines" button below the Search Shortcuts box on the Settings page, Search panel.
That did the trick . I just set it back to default search engine and ebay appeared. Thanks

If you want to add a search engine, check this link: https://mycroftproject.com/
Hi Dog3456, the green plus button appears if the page includes a certain link tag linking to an OpenSearch plugin (MDN) that you have not already installed. After poking around briefly, I didn't find one like that.
Some builds of Firefox include an eBay search engine, so that might be why we don't have a lot of resources on adding one. (This folder shows those locales/languages: https://searchfox.org/mozilla-release/source/browser/components/search/extensions/ebay/_locales )

When you say "you didn't find one like that" do you mean you didn't find one for Ebay? because like I said, I'm almost certain I had one in the past. Only in the past year or so did it seem to disappear as a search option.
When you say "some builds on firefox include an ebay search engine" what does that mean? there is some other versions of firefox other than 89 that have it? Like older versions? It is a function of ebay or is it firefox causing the lack of search button? To be sure we are on the same page, I have posted picture of what it looks like when I go to Amazon with the green plus sign versus ebay without the green plus sign
You can open this link to see all builtin search engines and there are a lot.
