What is the authentication method on the incoming and outgoing servers? If it's 'normal password', change to OAuth2.
I have this same problem, on only one of my two gmail accounts. Nothing has changed in my settings. I checked the authentication method on the smtp server, and it reads OAuth2. Please help.
