Bookmarks removed from toolbar
Hi,
My first post on this forum. 1-2 weeks ago all my bookmarks from the toolbar disappeared. I still got them if I go to the top right corner and choose "bookmarks" I think this happened after an update.
Is there any way to get the bookmarks back to the toolbar quick, like pressing a few buttons or do I have to do them all one by one again?
Before I could just add a bookmark to the toolbar by highlighting the url and drag it right under to the toolbar. Now that's not possible and I'm not able to add them. Any help much appreciated.

Right under where I type in the URL is my bookmark toolbar, marked with a red strip in attached photo. All my bookmarks from the toolbar is suddenly gone, and I have this new entry on there instead that says "open a file", the toolbar itself is there.
Before I could just highlight the url address and drag it to the toolbar, now that even doesn't work. That method works with Chrome though, just tested.
Yes, I do get the message that the url don't work when I try "about:customizing" Nothing happens when I press Alt + F10.
UPDATE: Seems like I got everyone back now after pressing restore defaults, I can even drag the url now and to add it to the bookmarks toolbar, case closed, thanks.

Are you talking about the entries in the Bookmarks Toolbar, or the toolbar itself?
Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars {web link}
Type about:customizing<enter> in the address box.
Note: about:customizing is no longer present in Firefox v47+ releases.
- Press Alt or F10 to bring up the Menu Bar. Then View > Toolbars >
- Right-click on a blank spot on the toolbar and select what you want.
- Right-click on a blank spot on the toolbar and select Customize Toolbar.
Look for Show / Hide Toolbars or just Toolbars at the bottom left.
There is also a Restore Defaults button at the bottom right.
