Shortcuts now not working
My shortcuts on my home screen now no longer work UNLESS Firefox is already running - in other words, if Firefox is not currently running, pressing the shortcut does absolutely nothing? I can still create new shortcuts and open them IF Firefox is running but as soon as Firefox is closed the shortcuts no longer work? If I use Chrome to create a shortcut on my home screen, the problem does not occur - I can close Chrome, press on the shortcut and Chrome opens the shortcut sorks just fine. Firefox is set as the default browser but In case it's relevant, I have recently applied a MIUI update on my Xiaomi Poco phone. Any help woud be much appreciated.

So my problem is even stranger - without a resolution to my problem I decided to go the reinstall route (which is a pain but it needs sorting). So I uninstalled Firefox and reinstalled but the problem still exists - any home screen shortcuts I create don't work if Firefox isn't already running!!!! HELP anyone please, it's driving me nuts!!
