Hi, when I had cleaned out all my bookmarjks duplicates (and they were many 50.000 accumulated through the years)on my Linuxmachine and turned on my Windows 10 machine they were all back. So my question is: what data is saved when syncing with Firefox sync? And I dont mean the different types you can choose between ,no I mean: when I change one thing on onea logged in firefox on one machine doesnt that change the status of, and in my example the bookmarks on the other machines? Or is it the other way around, namely: will the second machine with all the duplicate bookmarks change the sync-"base" so they will be back on all other machines again? Very confusing especially if youre logged into moire machine then one at the same time. Please answer me, I really need to clean up my firefox's accumulated duplicates pretty quick. Sincerely Wal

The only solution I can figure out myself is: 1) Fix everything on this machine (delete all duplicates, order the remaining ones in appropriate folders) 2) Disconnect it from sync 3) Totally uninstall firefox with all data from all other machines 4) Connect this one to sync again 5) Install Firefox on the other machines one by one 5) Connect them to sync But that rises new questions: 6) How do I totally delete all Firefox-related data that could potentially bring back my old stuff when reinstalling Firefox on Windows 10 machines? 7) How do I totally delete all Firefox-related data that could potentially bring back my old stuff when reinstalling Firefox on Android? 8) How do I totally delete all Firefox-related data that could potentially bring back my old stuff when reinstalling Firefox on Iphone? 9) Will this work or will the machine with new installed Firefox wipe the Bookmarks from my first Linux-machine?

Thank you for answering anyway! What I plan to do is: 1) Fix the bookmarks on machine1 2) Export all bookmarks to .html-file 3) Disconnect it from the syncaccount and the INTERNET 3) Log into sync from machine2 4) Delete all bookmarks on machine2 5) Disconnect machine2 from internet 6) Repeat this for the rest of the machines. Until my syncaccount is void of bookmarks 7) Start machine 1 and import the .html-file 8) Connect to sync 9) Connect the rest of the machines to sync One culprit left: The phones, I cant seem to foind out how to delete every bookmarks there except marking them one by one and with that many its undoable, especially since there are more phones at play. So..until I figure out how to do that..Ill wait. Of course I could have created a new account instead and imported the .html-file there. But Im not sure that will work since I only have one mailadress and its tied to this account.
