Hello! Since the most recent firefox update, my settings and extensions have been inaccessible to me due to my firefox account profile being "old." It has been working perfectly until this update, where if I try to change my profile to my old one, it forces me to create a new one which does not include my saved addons, settings, or bookmarks sometimes. I really need access to some of these things, so it would be great if someone can help me to recover it. I tried to troubleshoot by finding my extensions local folder from my old profile, and I copied it to a new profile, but it didn't work. I am also wondering, if I do copy the extensions successfully, how can I also copy the settings preferences? Any solution is appreciated, thank you!

I use the procedure in the article you mention to recover all settings except extensions and other add-ons. The link below contains some more information. If no one can provide a satisfactory method for copying extensions (sync may be the answer), you will have to install them in your new profile. Some extensions allow you to export data and that is worth doing in case you have to go through the exercise again.

Hi! Thank you for your response. I am able to view my bookmarks, but I think my settings are unable to be retrieved because the new firefox is not compatible with them. Do you know if there is a way for me to copy the data from the addons.json file into a new firefox profile?
