Password syncing
A sync was forced and now my account has been disconnected. With it went my passwords. I cannot access my passwords because I don't recall my password. If I initiate a password change then, as the image warns, I may lose some, possibly of my passwords, etc. (Note: I did not have a master password setup).
If I wanted my browsers synced then I would have. To force me to sync is poor business practice. It's like going to McDonald's and ordering black coffee and what you get in black with sugar.
Now, before I leap to, gawd forbid, G___, what do you suggest I do??
Lastly, let me say that I don't understand why password syncing is supposed to allow a SSO across all Mozilla accounts. I'm signed in to Mozilla support, but then I'm not permitted to sign-in to my FF account. Unless you're going to tell me that Mozilla Support is in no way associated with FF, the rationale behind a SSO needs to change.

"Forced sync" I did not initiate a sync. One day my passwords were there, and when I attempted to sign into an account that required my password, FF did not auto-fill my credentials. The next day I attempted to access a different site, and the same thing occurred. When I checked settings/passwords, all were gone except for a few that I had recently created. It was then I noticed that it said that my account was disconnected.
"When passwords are changed anything linked in the sync gets deleted except from the browser where the data is was first created." I'm using the same device, same browser: Firefox
"...You need to go back to the original computer/device to re-sync from." so how exactly do I do that if I'm on the same computer, using the same browser?
Still, why is it that I can sign into support in FF, but I can't when it comes to signing in to access the passwords that were synced?
Thanks.

Is that the only device connected to that Sync account because Sync isn't meant to be used as a backup?
Firefox 80+ has a logins-backup.json file in the profile folder that can be used in case of issues with logins.json or to undo an accidental delete/update of a password. You can check if you can find this logins-backup.json file in the profile folder or in a backup and that the file has lost logins.
Make sure to keep a backup of the current logins.json and logins-backup.json before replacing logins.json with logins-backup.json with Firefox closed.
You can use the button on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page to go to the current Firefox profile folder or use the about:profiles page (Root directory).
