Hi - I'm using TB on Ubuntu 22.04, on a Lenovo X1 Yoga laptop. When I don't have an additional monitor connected, TB displays everything at a sensible size on the laptop screen. But as soon as I connect a 24" monitor (configured as an extended desktop), the TB window on the laptop screen changes so that all the text, message lists, everything is tiny - too small to be usable. View->Zoom is disabled (except when viewing the Settings screen), and changing the default font size makes no different to anything. As soon as I disconnect the external monitor, the TB window on the laptop screen immediately reverts to being a sensible size again. If I drag the TB window onto the external monitor screen, it remains unreadably small, but with more illegible items in the mailbox and message lists. Both screens have the same pixel resolution (1920x1080), but are very different sizes (13"/24"). and therefore use different DPIs. It seems likely that this is the cause of the problem - but how can I get TB to display at a sensible size on the laptop screen when I have the other screen connected? Grateful for any help! Thanks Nik PS - why is Zoom disabled when mailboxes or messages are selected? If it doesn't zoom, what's the point of it?

被選擇的解決方法

For anyone with a similar problem - or just generally unable to scale TB to a particular screen size / dpi...

I eventually found the Advanced setting for layout.css.devPixelsPerPx - this defaults to 1 (which doesn't explain the problem above) but allows me to increase it to 1.3 to get a readable TB window. I *think* TB is ignoring the screen scaling in Ubuntu's Display Settings, overriding it with its own setting.

Which would be fine if there weren't so many TB advanced settings. Hopefully this might help anyone else who suffers from the Thunderbird font or text being too small.
