Whenever I try to send a message, I get this "Send Message Error - Sending of the message failed. An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: steveklein@shaw.ca sender rejected. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again. We have talked with Shaw and they say it is not their problem. My wife (lindaklein@shaw.ca) has no problem. I can get my email and send if I got to Shaw's website, but obviously I don't want to do this all the time. I want to use Thunderbird.

check to verify that your email address in account and in SMTP server settings pane are the same. That is often the problem..

Short of posting screenshots of your incoming and outgoing server settings, I suggest a detailed comparison with your wife's setup. The error message you posted indicates a problem there.
