As far as I can tell, "xul cache1.0" may be a result of malware. http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t192538.html

See Uninstalling Add-ons If you can't remove it, then use Recover important data from an old profile

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs. You need to use all programs because each detects different malware. Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database.

Chris- Thank-you for responding with the helpful info and links. I disabled xul cache and the problem seems to have gone away. I suppose I should go ahead and uninstall it now?

cor-el- thank-you for the malware links. Disabling xul cache add-on seems to have fixed the problem. I will run the scans to make sure the malware isn't doing more dirty work!
