Does "History" list the websites in chronological order when listing them "by last visited"?

I am trying to find out how the websites are listed in "History" when I've chosen to list them "by last visited". Is the website at the top of the list the most recent? Can the order of the list be changed? What happens if you visit a site previously visited - does the original order persist, or does the first visit disappear and now go to the top of the page? If the latter, Is there a way to determine when the first visit occurred? Is there a way to get the exact time the website was visited?

1) The website at the top is the most recent 2) You can change the sort order, but not manually rearrange them by drag and drop. 3)If you visit a site (double-click on it), it jumps to the top. 4)You can set which columns you want to display by going to Views > Columns. That doesn't list the original visit date/time, but you can look at it before double-clicking on the URL. 5) See my answer to #4. :-)

I can manipulate the history when I call up "all history" without issues. How do I change how it is displayed when I click on History at the top of the browser page? It is now alphabetical, I'd like to change it back to chronological.

Thanks
