Location bar search goes to a different search engine than Google

more options

There is a problem with my location bar search. I want the search to act like the Google "I'm Feeling Lucky" function, but it just will not do it. I have done as it says on this site by going into about:config and changing the keyword.URL thing with the Google URL, but nothing has worked. I type in just "espn" for example and instead of going to the ESPN homepage it goes to this http://wwww5.search.wowway.net/search?qo=espn&rn=Sz_BNrxiXE5EKvn

This page is the search page of my ISP WOW! High Speed Internet. It seems like this search always overrides everything I have changed. Is there anything else that I can do?

They are re-directing those "lucky" searches. Contact wowway and ask them how to opt-out of that "service".

I've had that same issue with Comcast for the last year and half. I use their "out-out" page and 6 to 8 weeks later I have to do it all over again.
