How do I remove a filetype from the Applications Menu?

For some reason, a filetype of phtml has been added to my Applications Menu. As a result, http://www.newsok.com/news only allows me to Save it. When I select opening it with another application, it only gives me my home directory to choose helper applications from. I have another user of Firefox on this system, and their Applications Menu does *not* include this filetype. It renders this page correctly.

Download actions are stored in a file in your profile named mimeTypes.rdf (see MozillaZine Knowledge Base). It is not recommended to directly edit this file as its structure is remarkably confusing.

There was an editor add-on for earlier versions of Firefox, but in a quick search, I didn't see an updated one.

If you don't mind losing your customizations, you could have Firefox generate a new mimeTypes.rdf file. Close the browser, find your profile folder, and rename the file to something like mimeTypes.old for safekeeping. Then restart Firefox.

Any luck?

ADDED:

As a Plan B, you could copy the mimeTypes.rdf from the other profile to your profile. This assumes that both profiles have access to the same external programs.
