If you are talking about a Firefox '''addon''' that was installed by Norton not working after a Firefox update, it's up to Norton to update their stuff as Mozilla releases new versions of Firefox. An incompatible addon shouldn't affect your overall "security" or stop the Norton Security program itself from working.
