firefox 4 upgrade: program automatically sending previously saved personal data to websites ingnoring what's just been entered - glitch in program?

Something weird is happening in V4 so I've already rolled back to 3.6. On entering details (names, address, passwords) on website forms, V4 is sending personal data entered previously (cached?). It ignores what's just been entered on the form - it sends the old data! Has anyone else experienced this?

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

  • "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
  • "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
