I have a website. When I upload images to this site, they are over-exposed. There is nothing wrong with the uploaded image as far as color or exposure. It appears over-exposed only on Mozilla Firefox, but appears normal on other browsers. How can this be corrected?

This can be caused by a problem with the color profile for your display monitor or color profiles embedded in images.
You can disable color management to test that.
You can set the pref gfx.color_management.mode to 0 on the about:config page to disable Color Management.
You need to close and restart Firefox to make the change effective.

Caveats: The new QCMS color management system introduced in Firefox 3.5 currently only supports ICC version 2 color profiles, not version 4.

Two other thoughts:

If you live near an Apple store, you might want to check out your site on the Mac in Safari. It was one of (if not) the first browser to implement color profile management.

I don't know what software you use to edit and resize photos, but if you use Photoshop or Photoshop Elements, you can save without an embedded or referenced profile by using the Save For Web feature. This should cause browsers to just apply their default color profile rather than attempting to apply an embedded or referenced color profile in the image.

Thanks for your reply. It appears that Save to Web.....was the answer to this problem!!!!!! Thanks!!!!!!!!
