Just downloaded the new version of firefox, and now Yahoo has taken over my internet. Instead of going to the website I want, it redirects to Yahoo and says Page not Found. When I try to go to the website again, it works fine. How do I make Yahoo go away?
This happens when I want to go to normal sites like gmail or CNN. Yahoo was never involved in my internet before, but now it keeps redirecting there and it had put it's own tool bar on my browser (which I removed). I do not use Yahoo, nor do I want to, so I just want to make it stop redirecting there. It really seems like they're doing it on purpose to get people to use Yahoo, since it's happening on pages that are obviously up and running.

This article may help you solve your problem :)
Please let me know if it worked
Nope- I already have google up in that one.
Okay, so when you type in the location bar (for example) "gmail" it takes you to the yahoo "page not found" page?
(just making sure I'm understanding the issue here :) )
Try opening firefox in safe mode (how to) and see if the problem is still there.
I have the shortcuts on my browser to the sites that I go to frequently. It's when I press those buttons (which have always worked before and I checked their URLs) it takes me to the Yahoo Page not Found page. But then when I click the shortcut button again, it usually works.
(Try the safe mode for firefox first)
By manually entering the URLs, does the problem also occur?
