For about a week now everytime I go on Facebook and click on a newsfeed I get multiple tabs of FB appearing (as if cascading). Has anyone had this issue?

Basically if I open FB in Firefox and click on a friend's photo from the newsfeed I keep getting what appears to be multiple instances of the Facebook page generated. This will go on forever and have to repeatedly click. to close tabs. Appears to be some unclosed loop or some bug but not sure if it is FB or Firefox (cos Explorer doesn't seem to have this problem)

The Facebook Toolbar 1.7.3 extension is known to cause that problem for some users. Disable it or uninstall it, if you have it.

I disabled the facebook toolbar and restarted Firefox which did not get rid of the problem.

How do I know if I have the Facebook Toolbar 1.7.3 extension?

How do I uninstall the Facebook Toolbar 1.7.3 extension?

Thamk you.

This is not just a Facebook problem. I have had the same experience when going to a gov't site and then trying to open a pdf doc.... it loops opening, opening, opening, until I hit 'esc'ape. then I have to "quit' Firefox to purge all of the pages opened. Where's the fix???
